Acquiring a St. Germaine Instrument
-
Every instrument is built by hand, one at a time.
Your bass is crafted with precision and purpose from the first design sketch to the final setup. Each build is a collaborative process where every detail is tailored to you. -
Limited annual builds — typically a 12-month delivery timeline.
Custom Series instruments are produced in small yearly batches. Build slots open once per year and are confirmed with a deposit. Completion times vary with the complexity of each instrument but generally fall within 12 months. -
Your vision, refined into a detailed design.
Each project begins with a consultation to capture your tonal goals, playing style, and aesthetic preferences.
You’ll receive digital mockups, a complete specification sheet, and a transparent cost breakdown. We’ll revise every detail until it’s exactly right — this process can take a few days or several weeks. -
35% deposit to begin — balance due before shipping.
A 35% deposit secures your position in the build queue and initiates material selection and preparation. The remaining balance, plus shipping, is due one week before your instrument is ready to ship. For international orders, import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are the client’s responsibility.
-
Stay connected as your instrument comes to life.
You’ll receive regular updates and photos during construction. Some progress shots may appear on social media, but private updates can be provided by email upon request.
Design changes after construction begins may incur extra costs, and some may not be possible once certain stages are reached. -
